This one will get some enhancements like the PSP version did and then Capcom will keep a close eye on how it does. Are people still in denial about KH3 going on PSP? You lot are kidding yourselves or simply are clueless about where Monster Hunter became big. If I dont see Monster Hunter 3G for the PSP a year after KH3 releases on Wii I will genuinely be shocked. |
The point is there is only so much people that will buy the game. If it is the same game as the much cheaper version on the PSP(or most people could just pirate it on the PSP) why would they buy it for Wii? Also I think most of the fans already have it on either PSP,PS2 or both. Do you think they will buy it again on Wii? Yes, but not enough to signify what a new game in the series will sell exclusively on the platform. I personally WON"T be buying this for my Wii unless there are some significant enhancements over the PSP game. As for MHF3 I have no doubt it won't be a MHF game in the general idea of a port of the console version. Firstly there is some AI that they were explaining in one of the interviews that I know for sure the PSP wouldn't be able to handle. The animations are very fluid and would probably be more choppy in a PSP game. Then the graphics are top tier Wii stuff(for now) which again, the PSP wouldn't be able to handle(considering it can barely handle the originals graphics). I do beleive that there will be a game made specifically for the PSP that takes place in the same map as MH3 though. I'm assuming you meant MH3 and not KH3 as well.
@RPG
I see you saying about "new MH'll come to PSP" almost every threads about MH lately ,but now we didn't talk about PSP.Do you understand?
I definitely thing MHF3'll realeased on PSP ,so you better silenced or saying about something else instead.
Back to topic, I think this port is a trying to increase more MH user base on Wii(And to make sure that MH3'll sell very well.)

Thanks for the advice, but I don't know how to all anyone. It sounds...unpleasant.

MHG has nothing to do with PSP, you don't port a PS2 game to Wii to "test" a Wii port to a portable that they already denied. PSP might get a Freedom 3, but it won't be as good as MH3, and it probably won't even have the new features. Get over it. |
There's not tons of new features in MH3 though, aside from underwater battling, it's standard fare.
PSP will be getting Freedom 3, whether it is like this or not though, it'd be plain idiotic to kill off a userbase of people who will buy the game.
Good for MHG I guess though.
@ Fernando
I don't think Capcom would want any console to be 'the' console for MH. If it can sell 2.5 million units on PSP, and then sell another 2.5 million units on the Wii, why would you kill off the PSP and lose 2.5 million in sales? No company hates money, and MH will continue on both platforms, since they can make money off of both. The MHG port is just to get people to know about MH on Wii.
@ DMeisterJ: What if it sells 5 million units on Wii alone? ;)
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
Lol, why do people think this ports are to gather fanbase? They are not, they are quick ways of making money. Just like they are doing with the Resident Evil series. Where's the original RE for the Wii? Oh wait there's none.
Besides this wont affect the possible buyers of MH3, since it was announced after MH3. Simply a way of making fast money, that will fail because all the MH fans already have the game.

lol owned

I had a good laugh, a simple port got turned into something so silly. Thanks RPG and DMJ. With both your logics it would be wise for capcom to release in RE5 on the wii.

There is also the improved AI system where the Monsters interact with eachother along with you. In one of the interviews it was said that a good part of the game is turning the monsters on eachother. Also their are somethings like graphics and animations that the PSP also can't handle that I explained in my other post.
