Around the Network

-Confirmed-
Alan Wake
Halo 3: ODST
Halo Wars
Ninety-Nine Nights II
Ninja Blade
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction

-Assumed-
Blue Dragon 2
Forza Motorsport 3
Halo: Chronicles
Mass Effect 2
Naruto 3
Scene It? 3

-Vaporware-
Huxley
Venetica

Overall, it's a decent list. It's great in the aspect that huge names like Halo and Mass Effect will generate hundreds of millions in software sales, but pretty poor in the respect that (aside from Star Ocean) every single game is a sequel/spin-off to an established 360 franchise or a new IP. Needless to say, Microsoft is going to have some trouble selling systems based on their exclusive games next year. Thankfully, all the profits from software sales that those sequels/spin-offs are going to generate will help fund a price-drop late next year that will hopefully keep the 360 competative with the PS3. Unfortunately, with it already starting at $199.99, Microsoft really doesn't have much room left to drop the price enough to really stimulate sales.

Games announced soon by Microsoft for a release in 2009 officially and exclusively:

Halo: Chronicles

Mass Effect 2

Alan Wake

Forza Motorsport 3

Killer Instinct 3

Secret Project ( Rare FPS)

Blue Dragon 2

I wouldn't call Venetica vaporware. There was a new batch of screens released just the other day, and it's looking to be coming along nicely. Blue Dragon 2, on the other hand, might be vaporware. Along with Cry On.

I'd add:

Stoked
Kingdom Under Fire II
Velvet Assassin
Dead Island
Dungeon Hero
Majesty 2

Forza 3 is kind of a lock, even without that leaked market research thing, though we don't know when it'll be out. Mass Effect 2 has been confirmed by Bioware. Exclusivity is up in the air, but it seems like they're going with timed exclusivity and then a Windows port, just like with the first game.

There is not one single rare or lionhead game on that list. So at least two games will probably join the list.

Looking good so far. Alan Wake will be a true highlight of the year... well... at least for me. After Resident Evil became a 3rd person shooter more than a survival-adventure, Alan Wake might be the game to take the spot. graphics look great, but just like I said with uncharted2. I wait for real ingame pics. I know the pics of both games should be ingame, but I want to see the game played right in front of me. I have been fooled to many times.

Star Ocean looks great, too. Same for Halo Wars.

We have to wait and see what MS has to offer this year. Bioshock2 might be a timed exclusive.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Champions Online has only been announced for 360 so far as well for 09. We will probably see one project from lionhead at GDC as well,  something from Rare, and Bungie.

I wonder how long before some dicks come in and turn this into a "sony has a much better lineup" ...

GTAIV DLC and Alan Wake are my favs out of them.

Sorry

No, I'm not. It's my opinion, I can do what I want with it!

Somebody should make an official thread on this. We have one

(Former) Lead Moderator and (Eternal) VGC Detective

Thanks for all the input, guys... Mr. Stick, could you make an "official" sticky thread and edit it to keep it current? I'll try to come back and copy/paste everyone's data to the top, but I am really, really short on time and can't come back for a week sometimes...

I hate trolls.
