Yes you are very wrong actually, if VG Chartz got gif avatars I probably wouldn't use them, I just want VG Chartz to be the same as all the other sites by having that privilege and I don't think there annoying I find some of them amusing to look at and also I really wanted to know why gifs wern't allowed and so far the answers are there annoying, and ioi don't want them, I'm hoping theres a better reason.

 

What better reason exists than the fact that they are annoying and a waste of bandwidth? That's a superb reason. There are far less people who will not come to the forums when gifs are fobidden just because they are forbidden than people who will not come to the forums because they are allowed.

I'm going to say the reason it is available on one and not the other, is it is easy to restrict avatars than it is sigs.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Cell phone browsing is a pain with gifs. My cell phone uses Windws Mobile and gifs bog down the Internet Explorer. Fillls up the cache quick and slows my phone down.

I vote to get rid of them. While we're at it, get rid of Youtube sigs too. those are the most memory consuming

I'm not personally against them, I just don't want a slow VgChartz. I do agree that sigs with many gif's get annoying too though.
