Forums - Sales - ''Why ps3 will still win this console war, CROATIA''

found this at gametrailers.com and couldnt help but LOL

''Ok first of all I don't hate X360 and if I had extra "money to spend like US peple" I would have bought it.
I've seen a lot of posts where people say they have bought new x360 because old one is broken and I've even seen posts from some people saying they have 2,3 or even 4 x360.
MS maybe sold 25milion x360 but the number of people playing it is much much smaller

And now the important stuff Why will x360 lose console war:

I'm from Croatia (a small country in Europe) and people in my country have salary around 500 EUR for month.
MS thought we are to poor for x360 and because of that they still haven't come officialy in Croatia. That is a HUGE MISTAKE becuse Sony DID from day one.

Here peple have learned to save extra money so they can eventually after 5,6,7 and more months buy themselves what
they want.

In Croatia ps2 sold over 130 000 (on 4milion people it's like huge number)
Croatia is now like a time bomb which will be activated by Sonys next price cut and when that happens there will be sold over 100 000 PS3 and non of x360

Even if MS decide to bring X360 officialy to Croatia people will not buy it because they don't whant to gamble with their own savings. RROD is like printed in peoples minds but in the other hand ps3 with Blu-Ray seems like Best Buy for them.

And now you think "who gives a fuck about 100 000Ps3 sold in Croatia?"
But reality is that I can count about 10 more countries in Europe with more population (10 to 40 milion people) that MS ignored just like Croatia, after all, we are too poor.
And that's in the middle Europe only, now try to imagine countries like that in the whole world

I posted this because I wanted to show you situation of console war in Croatia.

I would like to hear your opinion about MS politics in less economically developed countries???

p.s. If I can afford myself ps3 then people from US should stop bitchin about its price.''

The internet sure shows a huge number of 'gamers' who prefer playing 'console wars and sales' to the actual games.

Whatever happened to just 'enjoy your games and leave console wars as a secondary thought'?

I was in Croatia this summer. Nice country, nice people. They behave alot better than for example Greeks, who will treat you like it's a bother that you put money in their pocket. I'm comparing because they are close.

As for the Consoles war, Wii will take Croatia without any problems.

Even with a few countrys like "croatia" in this instance, it has little impact on the big picture.

Oh btw you're trash talking, "maybe M$ sold 25 million consoles but people arn't playing on all of them" is rubbish ... if anything the incredible probably soon to be record breaking attach ratio speaks volumes.

And there is no time bomb, GT5 prologue sold 1.5 mill in Europe ... don't give me any of that "it was just a prolouge though" supposivly die hard european who love GT would have picked this up. Now with some actual compitition on the market its not going to be the saviour of the PS3 ...

the time bomb for europe are Gran turismo 5 one of highest if not the highest selling europe game and a price cut

Didn't you hear? Playing games for fun is so last-gen. =P

Has this guy ever heard of online shopping ?
It's also a lot cheaper :P

The food in Croatia is sooooo awesome. I love greek food as well.

But croatia is not relevant for the console war. It is that simple.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

@nojustno

I'm from "small country" with much, much, much, much, much less average salary than in yours ^_^ and as a matter of fact - PS3 oversold X360 in here, which not really matters as long PC game sales are stronger than all consoles combined.

Usually Sony brand owns small markets, where people relatively poor, that's the rule, may be, with some exceptions. That's not a matter of price, that's all about established brand and game franchises associated with it. But that was achievable back in those times only because of pirated game market. As long as PS3 has no pirated games it's going to lose in small markets (I doubt this even bothers Sony), so X360 will be next established brand in Croatia.

//Wii not even has a chance unless game market developed enough to be a mass culture. But honestly I know nothing about Croatia and it's game market, so may be I'm wrong ^_^

Yea, thos Tjivaptiti things taste awesome. Food is great in Greece, but the people are not. I've been there 6 times now, and every time I'm amazed how low a people can fall. They used to be the center of knowledge, now they are the center of drunken, rude, retards, who kill themself from drunk driving.
