Nope.. it's all around in the Netherlands.. Bart Smit, Intertoys, E-Plaza, MediaMarkt and his store Saturn (all retail stores) are confirmed..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)
what the hell,,,why sn't sony announcing it,,,is it some sort of secret?
why now of all times?
couldn't they at least wait 2 more weeks?
Was Sony getting hammered in the Netherlands? I thought it used to be somewhat of a stronghold for Sony. Anyone know the last month or 2 sales for that area?

^^it actually was better for sony in Netherlands.
maybe they want to clear the channel from those bundles,,,,do you guys have core PS3(with no games/blurays)?has the price cut been implemented on all PS3 skus(except for 160 GB)??
what about other EU countries?
Is this only in the Netherlands? Maybe Sony is doing a market test there to see what the response would be (IE: Increase is sales vs possible loss) before rolling it out ww.
There has been a price cut already because the Euro has lost so much value against the Yen.

My guess is it is temporary, and if it isn't I am sure hundreds of thousands of people who just bought there PS3 for lil' Johny this Christmas will be pissed off. I know I would. |
Microsoft made price cut in Europe first too.
And it makes perfect economical sense too 400 euro - 15 to 22 % of VAT tax is still more money than US 400$ price when converted into Yens.
It's time someone in Sony finally noticed Euro is around 30% stronger than dollar and retaliate against MS pricing (arcade doesn't cost 200 euro in EU).
Hmm or maybe ps3 slim is much closer than we think and they started clearing the magazines ?

It will barely affect sales imo, nobody knows the ps3's price has been secretly cut..
if they would advertise it, then I would see a boost in ps3 sales
