 I agree with everything except number 4.  An analog stick is basically the same thing that was available before the NES took gaming to the game pad.  The only difference is it was designed to be opperated with your thumb.

Wrong. NPD showed a report proving Wii third parties are selling extremely well.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Graphics are for PCs.

Consoles are for fun.

 

In other words, no.  Wii is perfect as is.



PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

No way on earth would I trade motion controls for more horsepower. My PC has all the horsepower I need, but no motion controls, wy bother with another machine like that?

First of all, that was point 3. Second of all, joysticks could only move in 8 directions, with no sensitivity. So that is bloody wrong to assume thumbs are the only difference.

but the analog bit was Number 3 and nintendo thought of using that old analog technology again and improve it.

I wont go into too much detail because it's off topic, but games like GTA4 aren't on the Wii because when they were being made, it was still assumed that the Wii would sell 18 million end of gen sales

Dragon Quest X is Wii exclusive, and Kingdom Hearts 3 should follow. Even games like GTA5 should hit the Wii (not exclusive) because its marketshare is growing so rapidly, and developers are starting to recognise this
