Forums - Sony - Will Killzone 2 be your first FPS?

my first was Goldeneye 007 for N64, didnt play much fps after that can't remember playing from then and playing Cod4 this gen. so no KZ2 will not be my first

Me... Wolfenstein 3D (PC), Catacomb 3D (PC), Doom (PC), Marathon (Mac) +Pathways into Darkness (Mac) and System Shock (PC) if you consider latter two FPS, which I don't. That's complete list of FPS games I played in ~1992-1995.

 

 

God I can't believe I forgot Marathon! There was also a plethora later period games like Hexen that just kinda slipped my mind.

Also who can forget some of absolute crapbombs, the most memorable being Romero's Daikatana (Aka the game that will make you Romero's 'bitch'). Man to think that Ion Storm went on to produce Deus Ex... I cannot fathom the difference in quality.

the first i buy was r2 XD.

but i have played several in my life lik counter strike etc etc

It's way too late for me. Golden Eye was my first FPS, but that is what i get for being old and cranky.

My first FPS was Medal of Honor: Rising Sun on the PS2. It sucked big time. It put me off FPS for years.

The first FPS I liked was Counter Strike on PC, followed by Unreal Tournament III on PS3.

I've never really gotten into PC FPS, other than Counter Strike. My PC has been exclusively RTS for years.

My current favourite three FPS games are:

1) BioShock (PS3)
2) Resistance 2 (PS3)
3) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3)

EDIT: I should point out that Killzone 2 looks better than all of them.

The hype train is rolling along nicely, it'll get even stronger come February.

I despise Haze for making people think that every exclusive shooter on PS3 is going to flop. R2 didn't flop, it just didn't sell excellently. It's selling better than RFOM sold, so it can easily reach 4 million sales.

LoL I'm from Europe too but that doesn't change the fact that my first FPS was some doom clone on Amiga :D
