The Xbox360 just passed the PSP in NA.

15.33 million Xbox360s have been sold so far, the PSP made it to 15.29 million units. The PSP had a headstart of 7 months, which shows that the Xbox360 is doing really good in NA.

Furthermore the Xbox360 passed the 10million mark in Others, it is at 10.30 million right now. So 25.63 million of the 26.48 million happened in the West. So every publisher releasing games for the western market will have an eye for the Xbox360. 3rd party games that are designed for the western market will be available for the Xbox360. That is pretty much granted.

Japan is still a hard market for the xbox360. Just 840k consoles have been sold in Japan. MS tried really hard and offered a lot of JRPGs. Games like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant and Tales of Vesperia made the Xbox360 sales increase to a steady level of 10k - 15k. Which is a success compared to the last gen, but compared to the competition the Xbox360 is still in last place. We will see if games like Star Ocean, Ninety Nine Nights², Blue Dragon2, Ninja Blade or a possible Cry On will help sales to increase.

Good stuff, so that 7 months head start and cheaper price didn't help the PSP? ^^

 yeah, don't know why Japanese avoid the Xbox360. If I were a Japanese Gamer and I would love JRPGs, the Xbox360 would be my choice so far

I really think that if MS gets the Valhallas out and sets the standard with a $99-130 core and a $199 pro next September they will do very well this generation. The impact of $199 has been obvious in sales, get the much desired Pro to that price and 80% of their product will be within casuals grasp.

But isn't Valhalla the place where warriors go when they die? I don't want to lose the Xbox 360 just yet!
