What the early games did, was make the Wii popular. Those games are the most important games in this entire generation.

 

The Wii is selling on its popularity, which it earned by Wii Sports/the other launch games/the remote. All Nintendo has to do is keep the popularity, and that doesn't take the same amount of games as turning popularity around takes.

 

Also, I'm not sure most Wii owners would agree the Ps3 has  a better line-up.

As much as I love Wii, I would love to know which games Wii owners think are on par with PS3 games.

 

 

 Most of the games I own actually. I have been playing the same way for 25 years now and it was about time something new and refreshing came along. I wasn't going to upgrade this gen to play the same games with flashier graphics. If I wanted that I would buy a top end PC. Then I heard about this radical shift that Nintendo were doing and thought I'd give it a try. Best decision I ever made

 

 25 years? Did you miss the biggest change in gaming ever? The change into 3D? You can not in any way say that 3D games are the same as 2D games. It is a FAR bigger change than the one the Wii produced.

I could accept 10 years, but 25 years is just wrong.

How is controlling a character in 3 dimensions, with an analog stick, the same as controlling a character in 2 dimensions, with a D-Pad the same?

So, why do you keep acting as if people are buying the PS3 just because the games? Because it clearly not... games struggle to sell a million on the PS3.

So, just like you think that people arent buying the Wii for the games, I can say the same about the PS3... people are buying the PS3 jus because the blu ray player. And until the PS3 sell more software than the Wii, I will keep thinking that the PS3 is getting bought for the movie player and not for the games.

 

 FERNADOO games struggle to sell a million on the PS3 because it would mean 1 in 20 peopel would have to have bought it. Yes a few people will have bought it purly as a bluray player, but that is 250k maximum. And people arnt buying the Wii because of the games! seriously you think Wii sports,Wii this Wii that pushes consoles? NO FREKIN WAY. Its because it is different and people dont have to pay the extra money onto a TV ontop of everything else in todays world.
