The Japanese people are so quiet its like they don't exist.

But for the most part the numbers will stay relatively close to that, because Japan is about as important to the home console market as the U.K is, probably less so now.

 

During christmas,  Japan is bigger.

HW sales UK (no Ps2): 532K

Estimated HW Japan (Preview): 660K

 

Japan is somewhere ~ 1/10 of the total. As it is incredibly anti-X360 biased, it means a lot more than those 10% would seem like it does.

 

PS: I'm not American. I'm a Tajikistani (I always thought that cold place in Northern Europe I live in was Norway, but my VGChartz profile states otherwise).

You have no idea what 1:1 gesture control means do you?   The 1:1 has nothing to do with time.   It's the exact 3D spatial motion replicated in game as detected in real life.  Basically put, it recognizes itself in 3D space.   Currently when you point away from the IR bar, the Wii remote losing context and doesn't know were it is in relation to the TV.   Wii Motion Plus will correct that.

yeh, more like impossible - it would need to outsell the PS3+360 by 1.6mil over two weeks.. even with thiese huge sales in America and Europe, they only came out ahead by <500k this week.. it'll pass 50% in january

@jake - not being 1:1 = laggy controls is like saying that the 360 controller lags because you can't shake it to perform a melee attack in Halo 3, it is not possible as defined by the hardware (although, the 1:1 thing will change in a few months, and then you can whine about it all you like)

Controller wise, Yes it is.  Userbase, Yes again.  Video hardware, No.

Wii is as powerful as the original Xbox, minus the Video Hardware.

true, and yet it get's outsold by the wii, and it's sad cuz I just recently saw an advert with a wii and 2 games, one being wii sports was sold for like just under 400 aussie bucks, and a pro 360 with 2 games which also sold under 400 aussie bucks and in fact was slightly cheaper than the wii, and yet the wii is the one that sells out...it's not even a value factor anymore, the wii just sells regardlesly...and honestly speaking there is onely one thing that can make somehting sell regardless of value factor, functionality, or what ever, it's the FAD factor.
