Wii Sports Resort alone is able to carry Wii gigantic sales until xmas 09 when we will have a new Zelda or Kid Icarus or something.

Please don't say something like this. Would you be happy if Wii Sports Resort was the only game released in 2009? I guess the answer is clear...

I am really wondering why wii sports resort is missing from that list.. that is actually my most anticipated (announced) game next year

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

@One_touch_KO:  The wii is still selling out.  The original wii sports along with everything else already out is enough to carry Wii gigantic sales until xmas 09.  Given the current size of the game library, do you really think that another game will make a difference for many if people want a wii or not???  New games will do more to keep people who already own a wii from getting a second console like a 360 or PS3 then what it will do to wii sales.

@rubido: I know you were not talking to me, but...  my happyness is not dependant on video games.  I will also be happy if no games are released in 2009.  I prefer lots of games to be released, but I will honestly be happy either way.  :)

Hmm it is time to complain that we have too many games :P, how the hell am I going to find the time to play, even if it just is a few of them…

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I was happy with the 2008 lineup and still havent bought many good games from this year, 2009 looks amazing and there are still many titles that we dont know about, i dont think people will be complaining about lack of games like they had this year.

Yes the Wii is still selling out.  The way to attract new players is to constantly release new games so that they as well as the current users keep getting reminded that they need to purchase things.
