In an earlier thread posted here on VGchartz, after Konami's mysterious hint of the next MGS game but prior to the Ipod Touch / Phone confirmation last week, Kojima was quoted as saying he would have more information in three weeks. Those three weeks haven't passed yet, but such a concrete statement and with the Iphone and Itouch announcements out of the way, that has me thinking that was not what Kojima was referring to.

     So do  you think that Kojima was referring to the Itouch / Iphone announcement with his three more weeks pronouncement, the unveiling of MGS 5 coming in three weeks, or was he referring to a new version of MGS 4 like Subsistence or Substance that will most likely appear on the 360 if it continues to kick the PS3's butt over the next three weeks in sales as it has the last two months?

What part of "MGS4 is not coming to the 360" do you not understand? Kojima's said it, Konami's said it, what more do you people want?

Anyway, it's probably MGS4: Existence. I'm going to guess PS3 exclusive. Release Date: Q4 2009, the extra content will be put up on PSN for those who want it that already have MGS4.

I believe that he was talking about the MGSiPhone game since the interviewer was asking him about the teaser.

This doesn't mean that MGS4 won't be coming to the Xbox360 though... from a financial standpoint, it's just logical (when or if ever Sony's exclusivity ends).

I used to be a big PS3 fan until the day came when I noticed that there was no way I could get my PS3 to go online. I don't know if it had something to do with my internet service provider going to dhcp in October (basically, I didn't have any dsl service in October because my modem wouldn't connect to it, then I got a new modem from the telephone company and realized they were using automatic connections instead of the old static ips) and ever since my laptop will connect, my 360 will connect, but my PS3 will not connect to the internet. It completes the first step of the process, but then it always fails to communicate with the dsn, and lists my default router as 0.0.0.0. I'm trying to hook up with a wired connection and I've used everything that I've found on internet message boards that is listed as a fix (except they talk about inputting all this info in a router and I don't use a router) to try to get it to work. So, more MGS4 material on the PSN wouldn't do that much for me personally as I can't log on to the PSN unless I buy a router and that works or another PS3 which might give me the same problem. But, as I said, my 360 hooks up flawlessly, and I haven't purchased MGS 4 yet, so I do have personal reasons for hoping for a 360 version of the game.

Sheesh.

Is it really that serious? There isn't even a new rumor on deck and we're talking about it coming to the 360.

      He did say he was going to make an announcement in three weeks, so I still think saying it was entirely the Ipod Touch / Iphone game could be a bit premature until we hear what he was planning to say in three weeks.
