not so great about 360 but if not like rrod doens't exist.

but they got the shoddy story too, first year of ps2 was bad i heard, nothing i experience though, i bought my ps3 in it third year.

and still works now.

this is probably a response to "2005 tech in 2008"

PR at it finest hahaha.

damn we will never have a PR that its nice, nintendo was dangerous in the 90s, sony for over a decade.

Didn't your PS3 break down not too long ago?

PS2s from the 1st year were just as bad as X360s from the first year.

PS2s from 2002 and 3 were arguably less reliable than X360s are now

Sony, like MS had to give out free replacments/repair services for any model made before 2003.... and that service lasted until 2005 (so if you bought a 2003 PS2 you could send it in if it broke in 2005)

The difference between Sony and MS is that I think Sony began their free replacement thing about 6 months after launch, MS waited 18 months.

As I recall, though, there was a class action lawsuit brought against Sony before they started their repair/replacement program.

another reason for not buying any sony products ever again.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

@DirtyP2002

Because they are reliable?

mM

He is completely wrong on two counts. Cheap machines (ps2 disc failure rates were very high) do expand the market under the right conditions, and Sony doesn't always focus on quality hardware... The ps2 example again.

Who aims at having a failure rate?

bad sony...havnt you learned that making comments about the 360 wont help the ps3 sales...

But it's true.
