He predicts:

So the difference is, he predicts Wii will not sell completely out (4M less than production) while you predict a production increase. Then you're a fair amount pro X360, he is slightly pro Ps3.

 

As for the rest, I think he simply states about what he knows. He doesn't know as much about Wii/X360 games as he does about Ps3 games. Why should he predict for the Wii/360 games then? They will be guesswork, and nothing more.

 

It's a decent OP.

I wasn't actually talking about his hardware predictions.

Alan Wake Yes, Splinter Cell Convicton Could be on PS3, Killer Instinct Never heard of it, Forza 3 GT5, Diablo 3 Not happening*, Mass Effect 2 multiplat?, Bioshoick 2 timed exclusive/multiplat, and Halo OSDT Expansion and Dead Rising 2 What is that going to do? will be too much for the PS3 (GT5, GoW3, R&CF 2009, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Killzone 2) come this fall.

Sorry, but Killzone is going head to head with Halo Wars in Q1. Head to head? Different consoles, different genres.

Yes GT5 will be a monster but judging from Forza 2 and the anticipation for 3, it shold hold up against GT5 in the states at least. No way. Gran Turismo 3 has sold better than Forza 1 and Forza 2 combined. Gran Turismo is among GTA, Halo, Mario and Pokemon as the strongest brand names in gaming.

There is already a contract in placed for a trilogy exclusive on the 360 so it will be exclusive to 360 regardless of EA. Fair enough.

Hey if MS paid for Timed exclusive for the first Bioshock, why is it so hard to believe it won't happen again. Because BioShock has sold 200k and effectively flopped on PS3 because people didn't want to pay today's price for yesterday's game. 2K won't let that happen again.

Halo ODST will sell about 3 million in first month not day. That was a typo. One month is possible of course. I would say one month is very likely.

Until I heard otherwise, Splinter Cell is still scheduled as an exclusive for the 360. That's what they say now. I'm sure I read an article which said they were looking into a PS3 version. It makes sense, right? Splinter Cell 1-4 were on PS2, SC4 was on PS3, there has been a Splinter Cell on PSP. Oh and also, it sucks now. Chaos Theory was amazing, Double Agent... not so much. 

Why is it so hard to believe in a Wiimote. The Mii/avatar was only the beginning and the Newton Wiimote like device was rumored not too long ago. It makes perfect sense for microsoft to test the water to see if they can get some of the casual gamers that are attracted to the Wii. Rumoured. There is no evidence to suggest this "Newton" exists.

For all I know none of these will be true but I am just brainstorming my wishes :D. Wishes. There we go. I suppose a lot of mine are wishes as well O.O

Not really. Killzone 2, we have some proof that it will be amazing, in the form of beta impressions. Killzone 2 had a massive development budget and four years in which to use it.

I say KZ2 will be a fair bit better than Double Agent. And sell better as well.

If I didn't believe in KZ2, I wouldn't have a Helghast avatar.

- Worldwide Wii sales will overtake combined PS3/360 sales.
- DSi will be launched in America, but will have limited impact. lol PSP
- Final Fantasy XIII will be launched to much hoopla in Japan. The US version won't surface until 2010.
- Halo Wars, while it won't match Halo 3, will have a great launch.
- Resident Evil 5 and Monster Hunter 3 will pull great numbers. Street Fighter IV will be moderately successful, Bionic Commando will bomb.
- Dragon Quest IX becomes the highest selling Dragon Quest in all regions, thanks to a helpful marketing push from Nintendo.
- Punch-Out!! will be a huge success and sell three million copies before the end of 2009. Meanwhile, Sin & Punishment 2 will be declared a failure upon release, but be a slow burner and garner decent lifetime sales.
- Wii Sports Resort will be big. I'm expecting a middle ground between Wii Play and Wii Music type numbers.
- The Conduit will receive a hefty ad campaign from Sega and be bundled with the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which will drive sales into the millions, and Conduit will become a banner game for Wii third parties. MadWorld will see small success similar to Zack & Wiki or No More Heroes.

Xbox 360 will outsell PS3 by 2.5 million in 09.

The Wii will have a year very close to 2008's.

Xbox 360 steals a few more exclusives from the PS3 and possibly gets FF in Japan.

The PS3 will not have a price drop until OCT. 09

KZ2 sells 2-2.5 million for all of 2009

GT:5 will not come out until 2010

M$ offers a wii-type remote and some type of xbox game (bundled) that includes your avatar as a player for under $50. It may be included with the 360's starting in the fall.

Sony adds a Blockbuster streaming feature to its system, and has decent success with it.

Blu-Ray will not become mainstream in 09

Wii Fit 2 is the in game for Christmas 2009

Halo Wars sells more than KZ2 but not by much.

im surprised no body is talking about what mario kart and wii fit will do next year both of them will have sold well over 20 million copies by the end of next year and will outsell any game last generation

without a doubt in my mind the best selling 3rd party game will be the next call of duty it will be the best selling game of the year on the 360 and possibly on ps3(gt5 could beat it) on top of selling a few million on the wii and pc. total sales be close to 15 million

bioshock 2 will be a big hit and sell over 5 million copies between the 3 platforms. The hype on the game should be pretty high and there will be large dlc packs announced for 2010

This E3 will return it to the glory days and publishers will announce big projects like assassins creed 2, halo chronicles, and Zelda wii on top of having blowouts on holiday games like borderland, call of duty, and brutal legend

RE5 on the ps3 will have a better 1st week than the 360 u'll have to add the numbers from this weeks japan and next weeks na and others since the release dates are different

I was wrong about Halo Wars beating Killzone 2 first week.

Anyone who agreed with me is wrong.

That guy who said KZ2 would be mediocre is wrong.
