I'm glad that it won. Brawl was a marginal sequel at best to seven year old game from last gen. WOG was actually pretty damn awesome.

Esa-Petteri's trolling is nothing compared to Matt Casamassina, not even worth reporting.  If Mr. Petteri were trying to run a Nintendo review site, that would be different.

Now I don't get your point. So SSBB should have won pc GOTY? WoG got 9.5 score too, did some game score better than that on wii? On pc it got 9.0 score. Is there a reason why they can't pick WoG over SSBB?

You know frybread scores are scaled relative to the system? Something can score better on one system than it would on another. If brawl was a PC game identical to the wii game I doubt it would get a 9.5.

Again, I'm not angry that Matt chose WoG.  I'm angry with his passive aggressive reasoning.

This is just another way for them to show their despise for Wii and they know it.

Perhaps the people who write the reviews for PC games are a bit harsher than the Wii reviewers. You guys are acting as though a good game didn't win. I could think of about 30 games for the Wii that would have been worse to receieve game of the year.

They were harsher, WoG scored lower on the PC review.  But still higher than SoaSE, let alone the rest of the list. 

The point is not that a good game didn't win, the point is that the BEST game didn't win.  (IOO)  And the point is that since WoG wasn't even on the RADAR for best game on the PC, the fact that it won best game on the Wii is just blatant disrespect for the Wii games of 2008 like SSBB, MKW, NMH, etc. etc. 

Are you really going to say that SSBB and Mario Kart Wii and NMH and Okami, which lost to World of Goo on the Wii, are all worse than all the games that apparently beat World of Goo on the PC?
