A lot of the people I work with have a 360, but they still love the PS3 a lot more.
Also, much of the people I talk to have a 360, but really want a PS3. Most can't afford it or they don't have the time for 2 consoles.
I don't think it's about Fanboyism at all, I really just think it's about other factors.
Such as me: I enjoy 360 and Wii, but I still enjoy PS3 the most. |
There are more Sony fanys than 360 fans. If I had a nickel for all the people that love the idea of a PS3 (but have a 360) or have both, and love their PS3 (though the 360 has their favorite games/takes most of their time), I would have... well, many dollars at least.
This love is not justified however. if these people were given a choice with the current game libraries, an internet connection, and left on an island with one system or the other, despite all their love for the PS3 they'd end up going with the 360.
Both are great systems, but there's really no reason to justify loving the PS3 more at this point. The 360 still has the better games line-up overall, and only some of Sony's biggest franchises have delivered installments to the PS3. While I can see reasons to love the PS3 more coming... as of right now, the 360 is ahead in the Pros/Cons department, so all this love is residual from PS2.
