hardware that does not break 30% of the time.

Than explain to us Hus why PS3 is not a failure of a console while it is selling at the same pace as the GC. Why hasn't everyone bought a PS3. If it sells as much as the Gamecube when its total sales have ended, it can be considered a failure by your standards.

Well its basicly selling at the same pace as the ps2 and GC, just slightly higher than GC and about the same as ps2

For your secound question, not everyone is rich.

If it sells 25million WW only it is going to be considered a failure.

Leo-j, if you see PS2 started to pick up in sales 8-9 months (weekly sales) after launch, the same time PS3 is after its launch. So you're saying that tomorrow its suddenly gonna start selling 220,000 even though not eeryone's rich.

No Im just saying its not doing as bad as the GC. And its doing as good as the 360 during the same time frame.

But what makes you think everyone wants one? Nintendo dropped the price of the Gamecube low yet no one wanted one, what makes you think the PS3 is the opposite.

Because it is a playstation system, ps2 did well because ps1 did well history repeats its self, wat if the wii stops selling? Wat if the 360 burns microsoft corp down? Wat if sony was destroyed by a meteor? What if etc..

the ps1 did great selling 100million ps2 selling 110million and all of a sudden the ps3 is going to sell 25 million?You see that people want it when it outsells a much chaper system with almost the same graphics with alot more games. People want it but cant afford it.

Seems like alot of people think Microsoft is going to run out of steam after 2007. Many people dont realize that

- there are alot more games we probably dont even know about on the horizon (maybe a Jade Empire Sequel or Dead Rising 2 somewhere, who knows). And there are inevitable sequels (Gears 2, Fable2, Banjo Kazooie) and new originals like Infinite Undiscovery. So yah theres plenty more to come.

- the pricedrops momentum could very well trickle over into next year. As the user base continues to grow things will just get better.

- With the new improved models it will hopefully help the general public forget the RROD scar on the 360's record and its reputation can only get better. Even with the current reliability problems it continues to sell steadily.

That being said I think things will only get BETTER for the PS3 as well. I dont know if it will ever pass up the 360 userbase, maybe never in the US, however I do believe that the difference between 2nd and 3rd place will end up being very small this console war.
