I took that figure from here
http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/icosotc/ico.htm
"ICO received very little press and saw a very low-key release, being far more popular in Europe than in Japan or North America. In all, it sold only about 700,000 copies worldwide, the lion's share in PAL territories where the low print frequency caused the game to sell out just about everywhere and nab three-figure price tags on eBay and Amazon until it was reprinted"

Shadow of the Colossus is also very cheap and somewhat more common, unless my town is radically different from the rest of the world for some reason. With the latter we Europeans get a pretty cardboard box containing some prettypretty post cards. ^^ Anyway, it's been known that Team ICO is working on a PS3 game for years now. I generally don't get excited over the technical aspects of games (seen too many "best graphics evar!" in my time to really care anymore), but am still kinda curious as to what the people who did SotC on the PS2 can do with the horsepower of a HD console. Just wish they'd stop teasing us like this, and actually show something. |
Yep I'm one of those lucky ones with a cardboard box of ICO (bought it on day1 from the very first release) and SoC. As I'm playing Prince of Persia right now, in a world that is huge, I can't help thinking of how big this ICO team game could become, I most certainly hope massive in a huge open wide world. I love those type of games. When were we suppose to hear more about all this??? I'm getting too excited myself here.

I have to see this. I hope the surprise is good, especially for the PS3.
