Amazon is never supposed to be used in sales.

The mere fact that we're even discussing Amazon in this thread is a testament to how well the game has done, since no one can levy actual reasons against the sales aside from Amazon.

Amazon is not an indicator of sales, and never has been, because no one knows the kind of stock that they have of the game.  They could have ten units or 10k, and we would have no idea.  But people seemingly want to use Amazon in order to downplay the sales of this game. 

Also, if Amazon was the case, it wouldn't be so high on Chart-tracks sales list based by value and not units.  It's number 6 on the Individual formats charts by units, and number 7 by pricing. So if a good bit of sales were from Amazon it would have been much lower based on value, which it isn't, which kills the argument.

Well Amazon is big seller of games in the UK so it's price point for games is indicative somewhat , but then Amazon tend to heavily discount items compared to high street prices so you could argue they are trying to sell a product with lesser demand because of the low price point ( price elasticity) but then again it's part of Amazons business practice to sell products like games below retail.

Amazon also shows the popularity of the titles being sold on amazon ; people use this as a measure of the popularity of a game over the whole geographical area e.g using Amazon.co.uk sales as indicators of a games demand in the whole of the UK. Problem is Amazons top sellers list is only a sample of all the games bought in any giving country and is basicly the same as saying "game X was selling really good at my local gamestore it's proly gonna be a million seller".

And? There are more than 12 360 bundles for Europe. And those are all official, not counting ones done by stores!

So when LBP is bundled, and has great sales in one country, it is a great success? When Wii Sports outsells anything ever, including bottled water, it's because it's bundled? Hmmm.

Truly A Great Game it deserves it.

If you can produce numbers that prove that it's only a couple of thousand then I will retract my statement.  You just don't like me because you're a Roger Moore fan.
