UMD's are only 1.8GB Max? now wonder the format sucks, im surprised games like Crisis Core and Dissidia are as big as they already are.

Actually, modern audio and video compression techniques are insanely better now than they were even just a half-decade ago. They can fit the entire FMV content of a single-disk PS1 Squaresoft game onto a single DS cartridge now, and those cartridges are 256MB max.
