Forums - Sales - So just how big is Final Fantasy Dissidia going to be?

It's going to be big, first because its a fighting game and also its a fighting game with Final Fantasy characters and then its getting bundled with a PSP with art on the back of it just like how Crisis Core was released in Japan.

I just figure that Dissidia will sell better than Crisis Core, because Crisis Core just had a repetitive mission structure. Dissidia is a more reliable and satisfying experience due to the fighting engine.

I dunno how big it will be but I'm getting my copy by January straight from Japan's market.

I really think that Tales of Hearts is going to sell a lot more... both released same week.

lol?

I'd say around 250k first week with around 600k lifetime.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Selling less than Crisis Core first week will be a failure for SE, right? I mean the userbase for this game is even a lot bigger than for CC ^^

400k first week.

In other words, quite huge.

I wouldn't get my hopes so high up...

This is a fighting game, they aren't very popular with FF fans (I'm guessing). I can maybe see this coming close to Crisis Core, but I doubt it - I'm guessing a bit over half the size (still pretty big). For reference, these are the top selling fighters in Japan:

The best selling handheld fighter is Jump Ultimate Stars, at .75m. I doubt it can sell that much, I'll put it at 250k first week, 480k lifetime (Japan).

Actually it's an RPG (raising in level. new abilities, ...) with a fighting system like Kingdom Hearts.

And even if its considered as a fighter, it's still a dream come true for every FF fan ^^

600k ltd is my guess.
