Lewis, the Gameboy Player for the Cube was a Gameboy Advance emulator.

Hey!! He's only 33% naked!!
I also feel that all of "Gameboy's" character appearances on the old "Captain N Video Games Master" cartoon should be added.

Yep. Now you've gone and done it. You made me laugh out loud!!
In the Slim PS2 you couldn't not play games that required the hard drive, like FFXI.
Therefore, Slim PS2 sales should be separated from old PS2 sales too.

Yes, because the original PS2 was black and white.
GB/GBC were kind of vague originally since when GBC launched most games worked on both systems. The cartridges were the same and the only real difference between the two was color. It's like halfway between a hardware revision and a new system. DSi may end up in a similar situation someday.
That said, there's not a single PS2 game that can be played on the PS1, or a single PS3 game that can be played on the PS2, and so on, so your comparison there is rather dumb.
Game Boy Micro, Pocket, etc. are equivalent to PS2slim and DSLite and are lumped together for obvious reasons.
If I recall the PSP phat can't use skype as the microphone does not work with it.
-> change between consoles that create non compatible games: split PSP sales.
