Halo 2 sales ----> 8 million
Smash Bros Melee ----> 6.5 million

Brawl will have a bigger userbase, so it will either outsell Halo by a little, or run very close to it.

Madden will be the biggest seller though, at least for this year.

I think it's between Madden and Guitar Hero 3, though the less time Guitar Hero 3 will have to rack up sales will probably mean Madden sells more this year, though Guitar Hero 3 could sell more in the long run. Though I always think it's kind of unfair to compare combined multiplatform sales to exclusives to one console.

Holiday season wise, I'd say Guitar Hero 3 might take the crown. The PS2 version was in 2nd place last year for exclusives and this time around it'll be multiplatform. It might be able to do what the PS2 did on the Wii alone. Though Madden was the biggest seller last holiday season for all platforms. Exclusive wise, I'd give it to Brawl because its launch sales will all be during the holiday season and Halo launch sales will be well in advance.

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

I voted Mario Galaxy. First off, no one, and I mean no one can out big franchise nintendo. The Wii's user base will be higher then the 360's in every region, which includes NA. With that said, I don't see how Mario Galaxy can't outsell Halo or the rest of those games. Mario Galaxy should outsell them on launch day alone.

I picked it because i thought holiday season was oct-dec

and since that is launching dec 3 i figured it would sell the most.

however, ioi intended for holiday season to be from now to end, in that case i would switch to halo3.

Well in that case, I would probably say Halo 3 amongst those games, but I think in large part its impact on the console has already been felt.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

I voted GH3 because of all the hype GH1 and 2 caused. I really wanted to vote SBB but even I can set Fanboyism aside when logic overrules.

Of all the games on the list the only one I'll be getting for Christmas if SBB, because Mario galaxy has little replay value and I'll just play through it once using my gamefly account.
