There is a definite uptrend in the "others" regions right now (sounds so mysterious =P), but it is only 3 weeks in the making. If it can hold its current sales or continue the uptrend for another 3 weeks then we have major trend, and that would have an impact on sales forecasts longterm.

I swear to you - if they were selling the ps3 on its own for 249.99 GBP they would sell out within a few weeks.
A second hand one even with my staff discount is 260 GBP - so it's still cheaper for me to import a new one from the USA.

At the beginning of July, the PS3 sold roughly 25,000 units. Since then, it's trended upwards towards the most recent 36,000 units. That's pretty good. It'll be interesting to see how much momentum it can ride into the holiday season. Wii is still outselling it 2 to 1 though.

Does anyone know what the suply is like in Europ for the Wii? I mean, the PS3 is actually keeping up, and with a price drop it can do great there. The Wii isn't selling there like it is in JP and NA, and I was wondering if it was supply problems.

PS3 has been as low as 25k and as high as 37k over the last 15 weeks where as the Wii has been as low as 52k and as high as 73k over the last 15 weeks. I don't see how it is keeping up with those numbers.
As for supply problems, nope. The craze just is not as big in those regions as it is in NA and JP. Nintendo has never done exceedingly well in EU as far as I know.
