But what NiKKoM says is true. A post like the OPs is flamebait. The 'Wait until game x' or 'Wait until pricedrop' arguments are always beaten down the same way by the haters. It just makes the argument more infected to have another thread like this.
I still do not think the PS3 is doomed, but things are looking rather bleak right now. Sony can turn it around. It's not going to be easy, and it will require a bit more than 6 great exclusives at this point, but I think it's still manageble. What bothers me is the amount of people that simply cannot see how bad the situation is, and are saying that 'everything will be fine, just wait and see!' (just restin').
The PS3 is in trouble (The parrot is dead) and the fanboys (person selling the parrot) simply refuses to admit this blatant fact. The people claiming the PS3 is in trouble (John Cleese) wants to win the argument (get a new parrot) and therefore argues till they're blue in the mouth, still facing flat out denials.
Naturally, starting a denial thread like this showcasing the same evidence (Lovely plumage, innit?) isn't going to make things better. It makes for funny reading (watching) though.

You really hit the nail on the head, and I want to point something out to all teh people who think this is in ANY way trolling:
The issue being pointed out is not that the PS3 IS dead. Killergran, like me, would like to see the PS3 succeed. The problem he's addressing is that the tone and content of the OP and the thread in general are the antithesis of a good argument. He drew a simile to the Monty Python skit purely for the humor.
All the points that the OP mentioned are flimsily constructed points that have been shown by past experience to be erroneous, and any credible points are so lacking that you have no choice but to doubt if what he's trying to convince people of is true at all.
Let me draw a slightly less bleak simile:
A man is laying dying on the floor, the ambulance is on their way but will take 10 minutes to get there. someone asks; "will he be okay?"
If you say "yes, he'll be okay, the shock combined with the cold floor in the middle of winter has put him in a temporary state of suspended animation, this will actually help preserve him until the ambulance can arrive and administer first aid" then the sheer amount of false evidence you provide is likely to convince people that the conclusion you have come to is false as well.
That doesn't mean he actually WON'T be okay. a statement that would actually have some credibility to it would be; "we've given cpr and managed to keep his heart going, as long as we keep a close eye on him, then we should be able to make sure he lasts until teh ambulance gets here, and then he should be fine." but if there is an argument of this level of credibility, and you DON'T use it, while constantly sticking to non-credible arguments, then you look like you're in denial.
This is essentially what the OP is doing. He is using tired and overused arguments of "just wait for this game to come out" which have time and again been shown to have little or no affect on the long term, comparitive sales rate of a console who is trailing behind. Heck, I even was willing to try believing that LBP would manage to affect the sales rate, just because of how DIFFERENT of a game it was, but even it didn't really have much of an impact at all.
So essentially, yes, Killergran is right, the OP is flamebait: Flame - referring to people who will become abrasive and insulting during an online debate. Bait - something used to lure a creature out in the open. The inherent weakness of the OP's argument is like a thrashing, bloody fish in teh ocean; it's going to attract sharks.
