kyliedog youre a smart one, I think that uncharted was one of PS3's best selling games or something got an outstanding on IGN. What a flop

None of them will flop. A flop means that it gets, say, less than 200k WW first week.

As for underperforming, Killzone 2 will definitely not underperform, because Sony will not let it. You can't compare it to LBP, because that's aimed at the wrong audience, you can't compare it to R2, because Sony didn't spend upwards of 20 million bucks developing Resistance 2, they basically told Insomniac to make a sequel, maybe helped them along a little, and gave them less than two years to do it (while Killzone 2 has had 4 years). 4.5 million.

Gran Turismo 5 will not underperform, because it's Gran Turismo. It doesn't NEED advertising. 8 million.

God of War III? No way. God of War III will sell incredibly well, because it's mindless gory violence in HIGH DEFINITION. 4 million.

Heavy Rain? Unfortunately, it just might. It doesn't seem the FPS junky's cup of tea, really. It will be amazing, and I will buy it, but unless Sony advertises the hell out of it, it probably won't sell very well. No
te if this breaks a million first week I will deny ever saying this. For now, I predict 2 million.

inFamous? Probably. Nobody really knows what it is, it'll score high 8s, get respectable sales (ala Uncharted), but not be a runaway success. 2 million.

Uncharted 2? People actually know it's good now. People actually own PS3s now. This will sell very well, upwards of 3 million.

All numbers are for a year after release.

I don't think GT5 is going to be a big console mover, Forza 3 is expected to be out around then on the much cheaper 360. Forza is the better techical simulator anyways. I'd be surprised if GT5 manages to outsell the various prologues.

Killzone2 is Sony's last (best?) hope of an exclusive AAA shooter. If it's any thing less then spectacular, it'll be a repeat of Resistance 2's lackluster sales.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Even if Forza is the better technical simulator (which I don't think it is, but thats a different thread), just looking at F2 having 4.2 million sales compared to a GT prologue's sales of 2.44 million + PSN downloads I think you're going to be proven wrong on that.

Further, don't forget that F2 has had at least 6 months longer shelf life than GT5:p and hasn't managed to even double its sales despite the larger 360 userbase, and GT5:p just being an elaborate demo as some claim.

GT5 will not flop. Heavy rain and Infamous on the other hand...

I think Heavy Rain will sell like the Indigo Prophecy.

Infamous is the one that needs the most advertisement.

Killzone 2 will have good sales. I don't expect it to be halo like, but still good.

I don't worry for God of War.

GT5 if it's released in 2009 will sell very well.

Uncharted 2 will sell at least equal to the first one.

They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts

I thinl that just Infamous will bomb. The other ones will be a million seller, and for me that's not a flop. I can ashure you that at least it will be sold ONE ( :D ) copy of each of these games:
- Uncharted 2
- Heavy Rain
- Shadow of Colossus 2
- GT5
- God of War 3

Gt5 will sell all Gt5p sales in a month.

Killzone 2...it wont flop, but some sales expectations are ridiculous

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Infamous & Heavy Rain will bomb I'm afraid. Bomb as in sell well below Sony's own expectations, which for a Sony big budget title must be well above a million.

God of war, Gran Turismo and Uncharted will be very successful, with GT5 being gigantic.

Killzone 2 really depends. I expected much more from Resistance 2. And KZ2 seems to be very expensive. It must have sales expectations above 2 million.
