Only very slightly, but I think this bodes well for the game's long-term sales.  10 million seller, maybe?

I think it has a chance. It's pretty closer to Christmas for the PAL territories release which is a boosting factor. But regardless I still think this has a chance, and if it doesn't make it, I still think it will sell very well.

Animal Crossing for the DS had a much later release in Others, and a slightly later release in Americas, which is biasing the comparison

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying only time will tell

It's doing worse than the DS version in Japan, but selling better elsewhere

I think it fair to say that the Wii has bucked this trend most fantastically.

Still, it has been far too soon since the release of the game to tell. Let us come back in a year, or so.
