Forums - Gaming - Skeptical of professional reviews, is Sonic Unleashed really THAT bad?

There's quite a few reviewers over at gamefaqs that really like the game even going as far as to say they enjoyed the werehog.  I'm starting to think the professional reviewers were all wet on this one.  Anybody here have it (on any platform) and care to weigh in?

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

Around the Network

I played the demo for 360. I didn't think it was bad.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

The Werehog levels aren't bad, they just aren't Sonic at all, which is a problem when you want to play a Sonic game. The day stages on the Wii are great fun, and I was actually surprised by the amount of complex different routes you can take. They don't make that much of a difference, but they were a nice inclusion considering I didn't have any expectations for them.

I haven't played the 360 version yet, but I'm getting it and Halo 3 new from my friend for 50 bucks total next week, so I'll find out then.

Either way, if you own a Wii, keep a lookout for Sonic and The Black Knight!

EDIT: I take back the werehog thing, the last 3 werehog levels had me cursing the horrible gameplay, glitches, and controls (Wii version).

I don't think it's as bad as alot of these reviewers are saying it is.
