The Wii has always outsold the 360 without needing a price cut. I think this is more about creating a bigger gap from Sony than about Nintendo.

If they advertise the price cuts well and let the people out there know how cheap the 360 is then this could be a potentially serious problem for the PS3 this holiday. No chance will this finish off the PS3, but it could create a situation where it would take a long time for the PS3 to recover, if at all. Let's just see how Microsoft plays their cards.

Why keep reducing the price?Thats pretty stupid...

Mike you're still harping on about the supposed 'power' advantage? Thus far there's very little to support the theoretical claims of significant differences and definitely not $200 worth. Besides, that may be how YOU decide on a console but I think historically and even currently it shows that your mindset is a minority otherwise wouldn't the N64 have beat the PS1 and the Xbox beat the PS2? You need a new argument.

Price cuts increase sales and it is Xmas so more XBox 360 hardware sales the better for MS.
