2008 was supposed to be the year for the ps3, insted with better games and a lot of deals, the ps3 is still selling the same.... oh wait, this week last year i think the ps3 sold more in the US. So, how can it be good for a console to sell the same when its suppose to have better games?

The ps3 is not moving foward, which brings the excuses from people like you, and then we come to just tell the truth and then you start talking s**t and offending others with no apparent reason.

It's not a matter of understanding. I understand very well what Max is trying to do... Putting the PS3 in its own bubble and claiming it's doing fine compared to itself. In the meantime, business in the real world is about competition.

The PS3 is not doomed or dying or anything, but it isn't doing well either.

 no. sales dropped year. I just looked into this a day or 2 ago. it was a 25-30% drop.

Ps3 and Wii increased last year week after 360, DS, GBA, PS2, PSP, GC all decreased.

I was referring to NA only. The reason for the bigger Numbers fall this year (thus the WW skewing) is because the numbers were WAY higher this year for BF.

Compare this week in NA to last year same week, and I think (crosses fingers) we will still see an increase YoY.

 



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

 I think you should look at the chart that shows 3 million increase this year before you troll some more

 If your a gamer its the year of the PS3, why? Because unlike the WII it got AAA GAMES this year =)

AAA games, well that depends on self opinion... i mean, this year i got NMH, Mario kart and Smash bros, which i consider great games. So i guess the wii did have AAA games this year =)

And price is the biggest factor in this competition.. because the 360 was selling horribly compared to the PS3 before it dropped to 199.

And you think that's great??? excellent??? After MGS4 (the best game of all time for some) GTA4, LBHype..... and still on third??? Come on, it's not doing great. And when people say that the ps3 is doing excellent for its price, well, that's just sad.

 

Im not saying the ps3 it's dead, matter of fact i still believe the ps3 will end at second place (well, im doubting now) but the ps3 it's NOT doing great like some people say

That's just life. Sony chose the wrong features and the wrong price, now they have to live with the consequences.
