I think the attacking will slow down... Starcraft really needs to take a chill pill, though.

Reality has a decidedly anti-PS3(and SONY, for that matter) bias. Stating facts about sales numbers is not attacking anything, it's stating facts, plain and simple. We're all very sorry you're console isn't selling better, but that's just the way of the world. You win some, you lose some.

starcraft why are you comparing ps3 sales to DC,GC,XBOX? arent you doing the exact same thing that you are burning MikeB for?

PS3 sales aren't really as bad as they seem to be. If the European launch goes moderately well, then the PS3 should climb up to about 2.5-3 million units worldwide, which is extremely good for a system that retails for $500/$600.

In North America the PS3 is doing fairly well, but in Japan it's doing quite poor. I don't expect Europe to vary too much from NA's numbers, to be honest. The problem is that, overall, the PS3 is underperforming compared to what most publishers/developers wanted, and that may have an effect on it in the long run.

The PS3 is going to get much better over time. Most developers are only harnessing about 10% of the PS3's power. Resistance could easily be ported to the Wii. All they'd need to do is decrease the graphical quality and AI. Although there isn't anything amazing for the PS3 as of now, there will be soon. The same goes for the Wii, which is also not being fully harnessed. If you compare the graphical quality of the launch games (aside from Zelda) to the ones of Sonic and the Secret Rings, you'll see the difference. Wii is capable of rendering good graphics, although it's nowhere near as good as the 360 or PS3. This is mainly because Nintendo now has 9 gigabytes of space to work with instead of the small 1.5 gigabytes in the GameCube disc. Xbox 360 is going to do well, although not as well as the Wii or PS3. It's internal hardware isn't as advanced as the PS3's, and it has absolutely no innovation at all. It's going to need a better selection of games if it wants to survive in the long run.
