Gold/Silver/Crystal followed by Red/Blue/Yellow. With Gold/Silver you could go to two regions and it fixed a lot of things that were wrong with Red/Blue, plus it was the first one I played so I have to like it better.

I owned Blue...what a game, literally hours spent trawling through the game levelling up my army, until my mate gave me 6 mews at level 100
Pokémon blue!! And, its the only PKMN game a ever played.
