Gold for me, kinda missed the R/B craze. Did love Gold though.

Crystal. I have a legitimate Celebi! The mechanics were still fresh but it had all of the major fixes to the balance that RBY needed (like Dark and Steel). And the music was brilliant.

I remember bringing my old ass Gameboy to school and linking up in the back of class so I could beat some of my buddies Pokemon.

I also spent countless hours looking for Mew, Pikablu, etc...

Damn internet rumors, like "fish off the SS Anne and after a while you will catch a Pikablu". "What the hell is a Pikablu?" I thought, but wasted hours away regardless.
