Using an emulator IS illegal if you don't own the game + system. Why would you go hasseling with emulators if you can play 9 + 10 on Wii. These are masterpieces. |
What if he buys a second copy of FE7?
I don't see why it should be such a huge problem though. I mean, it isn't like he is doing this instead of buying FE6, as he had no way to do it otherwise (unless one could expect him to learn Japanese).
PS: Should I edit out my previous comment + this one, as I am talking about something illegal?

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS
Hey thanks oyvoyvoyv, I really want to see the continuation of Fire Emblem 7 so I think I'm just going to download the rom and use the english patch.
If I had a way of buying and comprehending the game then of course I would bengabenga but seeing as a rom is my only way I'm going to take it, especially after hearing how good fire emblem 6 is.

^I can understand that. Personally I wouldn't bother with FE6 on a ROM. It's a GBA game on your PC, it's not the experience of the GBA games. Translation is also an issue. If you have a Wii I'd defintely play Path of Radience and Radiant Dawn.
Another issue:
I just recruited Jake and it was the most ridiculous recruitment ever. He has to be recruited with Shiina, but her range is exactly the same as his ballistic arrow. Point is that she's toast if she gets within his range. Always a critical hit. I recruited him by just waiting 16 rounds with my stronger units on a castle in his range until he ran out of ammo. This works, but there has to be a better way, right?
Anyone?
I understand what your saying but I've had to use rom's to play games before so I'm kind of used to it. For some reason my copy of golden sun erases all my saved data when I turn off my gba so I can never save or turn off the gameboy, hence I ended up downloading the rom.
On the topic of recruitment in Fire Emblem 7 there seemed like there were some enemys that I could recruit to join my team but I had no idea how to go about doing it so I ended up killing all of them.
Also I'm surprised you never continued the game if your character died bengabenga, I had a good amount of dead characters by the time I finished Fire Emblem 7. Although thats also partly due to the fact that I didn't know that characters died permanently in Fire Emblem games.

You could move Shiida into a forest or on a fortress to make it less likely that she gets hit (it works), but that still involves luck and that's not what you would want in Fire Emblem. So instead use the warp staff to get her next to Jake, it's that simple. Just make sure to lure and kill the three cavaliers before you warp Shiida in there. Alternatively you could change Shiida's class or use a master seal early which increases her movement range to ten. |
Damn, the warp staff. Didn't think about that at all.
It was time well spent though, cause Radd could gain some EXP at the Arena.

yeah but you still get to enjoy a FE game, especially if its directly related to one you´ve played and loved. My favorite ones are on SNES and played them only via emulation, see. There are translation patches and they are good enough. If only there was a translation patch for TearRing Saga as well...
I started hard *** as well and am at chapter 6. It´s substantially harder and a real challenge.
Personally I did manage to talk to Jake by letting Shiida go to a forest/mountain, I saved first of course. I didn´t want to use a Warp Staff, as it becomes very important to use it later on. You still get a hammerne, but since Jake didn´t hit my Shiida all was fine.
@Rol: You can buy Master Seals via the online shop as many as you want. Elysian Whips too are available on the 1st,11th, 21st of each month, the only way to promote Shiida and the 3 sisters to Falconknights.
hey guys I'm at chapter 4 I think..lol I know..sucky
I would love to class change some characters..any ideas? I'm keeping Abel and Cain as they are..
and I love Shiida as a Pegasus Knight
who should I change?
also..can you change them back..just a question

I haven't changed anyone either, but there are loads of worthless characters to play around with.
My horsemen are Abel, Frey and Harkin and they're f*ing awesome. I would keep those this way.
I think the first bowman (forgot his name, never used him) would probably make a decent thief, due to high skill and hit. Darros is not very usefull, so maybe change him.
But actually I think most units are ok they class they're in. Usually if someone's not usefull as is, you won't use him/her ever again anyway.
Although I'm thinking about changing Ogma into a Myrmidon, cause Radd is still a pain.
