Nintendo Co Ltd said it has not felt any particular impact from the economic slowdown, with sales of its Wii video game console and DS handheld game player still strong.
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata told Reuters in an interview that Wii sales during the Thanksgiving holiday week came to about 800,000 units in the United States, more than double the 350,000 units it sold in the same period a year earlier

before people claim "undertracked" please read the bold carefully, and notice the word "about" which means they could have only sold 770k, since rounding would permit him to say 800k.

Good ioi seems to be close. But wouldn't that make ioi wrong give the 10 percent-ish for Canada/Mexico? That'd put our U.S. numbers up to about 720k? Anywhere 50-80k below their numbers? That'd mean an upward adjustment is in order.
