of cause get a Wii.
no point to have a ps3 when you got a 360

I'm going for PSWii. PS3 for the best exclusives and Sony, Wii for a different experience, Nintendo, and JRPG's.
I don't have too much interest for the 360 excluisves.
I think the votes have weighed in here. Im on the other side, with SDTV, contemplating either upping my PC or getting a 360. I'm slightly favoring the PC, bringing me to WiiC gaming status.
Its the question I go back and forth quite alot.
I look at the Wii games Im interested in - Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, Metroid P Corruption and also the fact that its a party essential nowadays with colleagues / friends - its the cool and fun thing to have.
Then I look at the PS3 games and its more my bag in terms of hardcore games - Infamous, LBP, Uncharted and 2009 will yield God of War 3. Heck I might even want to check out KZ2 just for the graphics and I might finally get a large HDTV next year.
Its a very hard choice. And I cant just get both because I still want a social life - hard enough to keep one with the 360 alone. I think 2009 Xmas will finally be the time I decide - will greatly depend on Nintendo's next line of Mario/Zelda and hardware plans.
I'd say if you must buy a 2nd console, go wii60. PS3 is great, but side by side with a 360, 360 dominates is imo with the games lineup.
On top of that multiplatform is HD territory and whilst there are no lemons technically for the 360 version of any multiplatform games (that I know of), there are quite a few on the PS3. Again that's not me slagging the PS3, I'm just saying that you won't find a truly terrible 360 experience for multiplatform games that was awesome on the PS3 version (where as you could for the opposite scenario).
I wouldn't recommend getting a Wii because we don't know what Nintendo's got planned in 2009, and I personally am only interested in Fragile and The Conduit (Madworld doesn't interest me). But if you really like what Nintendo's brought to the table and you want a fun family activity, buy Guitar Hero World Tour on the 360 (j/k), get a Wii.
Considering how many responses there are to this topic, I'm sure this post is bound to get tossed by the wayside, but really you have to do exactly what everyone else has told you to do and follow your own instincts. Ideally you could borrow a Wii from a friend and get to try all the games you're looking forward to, and maybe the same with PS3. Personally, I own all 3 and for the past year, I think I've only played PS3. The 360 is great for movies and DVD upscaling (VGA cable), but the controller just never felt right. If I'm gonna have a D-pad, I want it to actually be functional, and with the exception of Fable II nothing's really intrigued me.
My vote would be to ditch the 360 for a PS3. Get an HDMI to VGA or DVI and use a computer monitor. My suitemate is doing that and paid like 200 for a screen that does over 1080p at 60Hz.
The trick is to combine your waking rational abilities with the infinite possibilities of your dreams. Because, if you can do that, you can do anything.
Wii60 of course!!
i got a Ps3 instead of a 360 and i regret it as all the games i like are for the 360 and the Wii (except got of war 3, but well, it's just one game)
Wii already has great games and a bright future!
if you got a 360 Ps3 will just be a fast way to spent your money!!
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
I'm extremely happy with my Wii-Xbox360 combo. I really don't think you could go wrong with the new Xbox360's since the internal bits and pieces have been made more effecient and the new warranty is 3 years long. Plus, the X360 controller is probably the most comfortable I've held since the GameCube. Never a big fan of Sony's controllers and that awful d-pad.
I'm with the people who don't see why they'd need both HD systems since the majority of their games are shared multiplatform titles, and of the two of them, the Xbox360 edges out the PS3 with more exclusives--and is a lot more developer friendly.
And I'm not interested in Blu-Ray. Yeah, I'm sure it's plenty freakin' pretty, but my ye olde DVD player can output to a High-Def TV with results that are plenty good enough--not that I have an HDTV yet anyway, so it's even more a moot point. Plus, Blu-Ray costs so much more for so little advancement. It's not like going from VHS to DVD, which was a major leap. More like trading in your 2-year-old car for a brand new version of the exact same model.

The only thing we lack are the big sports games.
