1080p is only able to be seen on TVs over 48" so 2540p would be like 120" which basically pointless to see.

1080P is HD based on the definition. That doesn't mean photo-realistic is going to stop at HD. Leave it to the devs to come up with a new acronym when such tech becomes available to the public.



you WILL NOT see anything near this in your living room anytime soon. HD cameras have been around for more than a decade.



The PS3 (thanks to HDMI 1.3) supports 1440p but we will only see 1440p on PSN games in like 5 or 6 years. Massive games will never see 1440p and few will even see 1080p.
