Are those each with the game or just individual costs of the items?

Because $80 for just the 360 guitar is CRAZY.

It won't flop because you don't need to buy every peripheral to play it. It will succeed just as Guitar Hero did which was very expensive and still is selling like crazy a long time after it came out.

I know what you mean... I feel the same way.  It just seems overdone.  Guitar hero is different.  It's fun and challenging, but you aren't REALLY pretending to be playing the music.  Pretending to have a band with your friends seems kinda... dumb.  Anyway, I don't think Harmonix has anything to fear from Rock Band.  The pricing is just way too high for it to be much competition to Guitar Hero.

Harmonix is making Rock Band. Activision ditched Harmonix and is churning out more Guitar Heros as they go, basically milking the same formula with new songs every time.

If there is actual justice, Rock Band should bury Guitar Hero because both these games belong to them and Activision used Harmonix unfairly and stole their formula.

Something tells me a game that is backed by EA and MTV and is being made by the people who made Guitar Hero a success is going to be successful.

Not to mention that MTV has already committed to weekly new songs to come out on Rock Band as downloadable content.

Just wondering, but did you read what I said above? Only reason I ask is because normally when you contradict someone you have usually given a reason for why you disagree.

Oops sorry my mistake.  That's true, I'm not saying Guitar Hero was anything original at all.  I think it's being made well, the problem is that it's just so expensive.   I think people will look at it and look at Guitar Hero and go with the familiar product.  Anyway, that's just my opinion.  I think it looks like a great game, it's just too rich for my blood.  I'm sure it's decent standalone, but I would want the full experience, and I can't afford to pay that much.

Rock Band = Over priced copy cat pf genre king... I am sure it will be good, but so few will put in another 200 for it after spending 3-600 for the console.

GHIII - Most popular non sports franchise right now (Genre king) and the first time on Wii (most popular console right now), GHIII in it's prime, semi-reasonable price...

(EDIT: About MTV Downloadable content... people just are not buying into paying for expansions a little at a time and the the last thing they are going to want to do after spending $200 on a game)

you do the math.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
