except... it isn't. It's doing worse. Despite having a larger market to sell to.

It's doing better at it's stage in life. Concidering the way smaller market (hdtv's vs normal tvs. Everyone had normal tvs. Not everyone has hdtvs)

No it's not. Disc adoption is way below still... the movie market is larger.

I still believe digital distribution will take over before Blu-Ray can pass DVD, so I think DVD will be passing the torch to digital distribution. But at some point in the future when the prices for HD TVs and Blu-Ray players go down enough, Blu-Rays should pass DVDs for 2nd place. That's my prediction, and I think these are all at least 10 years a way. DVDs will die a very long slow painful death. DVDs have only been at the top for a few years anyway. VHS clutched their throne with a death grip, and DVDs will do the same.
Wait what? Seriously? After that stupid HD war? It's dying? IRONY EXAMPLE!
lol, blu-ray only begin !!!
Final Fantasy huge... watch my collection
Oh... Final Fantasy huge only on SONY system !
Lolz i have the Ultimate Matrix collection albeit in HDDVD but omg it looks amazing i definatly reccomend everyone pick it up. the matrix in HD = Big Boner ;) lol but yeah the dark knight is tempting as hell but i still dont wannt pay $30 to $40 for a movie not to mention an expensive player :(
Long Live SHIO!

But Blu-ray market is HD-TV owners and that market is smaller, which kinda kills your argument...

Is it? I thought it was everybody. Since they want blu-ray to replace DVD. Can't replace DVD if you only target HD owners... they own what? 33% of the TVs in america at least?
Evens so... HD disc sales < 1/3rd DVD sales at this point... or at least were the last time the BDA released numbers... and that was back when Blu-ray was doing amazing before the sony cut all their blu-ray fortcasts.
Also this still ignores the MASSIVE growth in the industry... that has more the doubled, and possible trippled since DVDs inception.
