I still believe digital distribution will take over before Blu-Ray can pass DVD, so I think DVD will be passing the torch to digital distribution. But at some point in the future when the prices for HD TVs and Blu-Ray players go down enough, Blu-Rays should pass DVDs for 2nd place. That's my prediction, and I think these are all at least 10 years a way. DVDs will die a very long slow painful death. DVDs have only been at the top for a few years anyway. VHS clutched their throne with a death grip, and DVDs will do the same.
