Well, the ammount of time put into; and also Guerilla made a very good PSP game. Killzone: Liberation. Scored a 8.4 at Gamespot.

NO one, except for N'GAi, has played the game. What was Bungie's huge hit before Halo ......

HUH???? are you kidding me ???? just 2 series.... Myth and Marathon

and ONI in 2000 which got the E3 1999 game critics award... only pb no multiplayer on that one..... but really innovative game on the combat style..... but just with Myth and marathon we can already say Bungie is studio known good world known games

killzone represents all that the PS3 is, this game will be the stepping stone for all FPS games on the PS3. This game will show what the PS3 is all about and bring a new feel to what this gen is all about on a Sony console. This game will have the same effect as Gears of War on the 360 or Mario galaxy on the wii.

Most of the Sony fans know that this game will not be the great succes that Halo is, nothing besides GTA has that power. This game will fill the gap between average game and something you need to buy to have the PS3 experience, the same way resistence has filled the gap for the first year of this systems life.

well also the problem of KZ 2 or for that matter any FPS on PS3 is the pad.... you have to admit that the dual shock or sixaxis is not really made for a good FPS gameplay experience...... where on the opposite the D pad suck on XB and it's not helping the gameplay for some other game.... what i'm trying to say is if I had the choice between playing the same FPS on PS3 or 360 i probably take it on 360 just for the pad being more FPS oriented all other factors put aside

Your krazy man, the ps3 controls, Let me make an example for resistance are the best FPS controls you can ask for any game other than an actual gun.

Not really leo-j. The 360's controller is REALLY well suited to the shooter, the triggers are great and the controller has a nice weight to it which i find preferable to the PS3, the controller for which is FAR to light. However, the weight issue may be fixed when they bring out a rumble controller

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

OK, I dont have read all the post ...
But what I think about ur question, starcraft,

When people talk about PS3 and Xbox360:
1/ 75% of games will be multiplateform reaching PS3 AND Xbox360
2/ the PS3 is 200$ more expensive
3/ the PS3 is not more powerfull considering what we have seen so far

Why buy a PS3 if u dont get something better ?
Of courtse power is not everything
BUT
in the competition between PS3/Xbox360 it is an important point !!!
PS3 is more expensive, was released after, so PS3 should be more powerfull than Xbox360
If Sony doesnt succeed to go BEYOND Xbox360 graphism, Microsoft will win this battle.

It is why Killzone2 is so important
It will, maybe, be the first game to be really better to what u can see on Xbox360, showing to all gamer that games coming on PS3 will be amazing.

I hope u see my point.

Time to Work !

hum i'm talking about the joystick position which are not position naturally on the PS3 and I don't know about the new pad but the old dual shock wasn't sensitive enough compare to the old or new XB pad... i had an adaptator for pads so i can play with my XB pad on PS2 at my friends house and they could play with there pad on my XB and I always had the edge on the accuracy and comfort (they were cramping up before me) on FPS on both console... and I'm not that good as I don't play like crasy like they do... the position of your hands on XB is more natural especially the 360 (for FPSs)

@libellule

very true... bit don't forget that even if KZ 2 is better graphically than XB 360 games actually... it doesn't mean it will stay that way... they can still improve the graphical quality of the games on both console.... the limit is unknown yet on both..... so KZ 2 being better is great, but it doesn't mark the end of the fight in any case..

The whole Halo killer thing has been dropped since the first Killzone.

What is most likely to happen is Killzone 2 will be good on its own, and Halo 3 will be good on its own.

This doesn't remove Killzone 2 from being very significant. Sony needs a big 1st party exclusive FPS in its lineup.

The PS2's weakest genre was the FPS and the PS3 has already surpassed the last PS in its short lifetime in this area.

FPS is a very big genre and Sony wants a big FPS to sell games and systems and this is why there is such emphasis on Killzone 2.

Also, the whole comment about Gears of War 2 not being better looking than Killzone 2 is wrong because games will continue looking better as they go.

Unreal Tournament 3 already looks better than Gears while having much larger environments and much more going on in the game at a time while Gears had small, closed environments and 8 people killing each other.

Games will keep imroving in what they can do.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

This is another case of a PS3 being hyped, but won't push consoles.

Too many people say "Oh, sales will pick up with X game. Then Sony will rule again". I feel many need a wake up call. None of those games are going to push console, expecially Killzone 2. The game is hyped, but that doesn't mean it will push consoles. The hype will make it sell to those who already own a PS3, or would have bought one any way. The only games so far that will push consoles are Wii Fit, Mario Galaxy, Halo 3 and GTA 4. The latter 3 usually all sell over 6million. FF is the only one who has sold over that, and that was on the PS1 and 2's high user base. These game's sales are more dependant on the console.
