Yawn. We already know Microsoft sold 310k last Thanksgiving weekend. It improved 25% which makes it around 388k. That doesn't include the rest of the week in America or Canada. You should really have some clue of what you're talking about before you make stupid threads like this using misinformation. There's always somebody who jumps the gun and thinks they've found something nobody else has and makes a thread like this which of course ends up backfiring on them.

I also like how you chastized people for "believing ioi's numbers over official numbers" while you used VGchartz 270k numbers for the week in 2007 instead of official numbers that Microsoft released. Great researching. Nobody likes it when people are hypocrites.

Did you not read where I said I assumed VGC numbers had been adjusted to Microsofts numbers. Also either way I am right to an extent, ioi's numbers (early) seem alittle high.

you really should read the entire thread, and read everything I write before you make a stupid post intending to make me look like an ignorant dumbass. I already admitted that the MS numbers being different from vgc changes things.

 

I read the entire thread and like I said, your failure to research the subject you made a thread about is sad.  I think it's funny you would mention my icon like it means anything, when I'm the one who's using actual facts based on the correct numbers.  I really don't know why you're so intent on making yourself look worse each day on this subject.

I did do research. It was just quick and half-assed : ). Mentioned ur icon because because it aligns you with the 360. Thus not wanting to believe any of it. Thus giving you are reason to attack me. Your statements were not fact, but were rather subjective.  I already admitted my mistake when I said I should not have trusted VGC numbers(hyperbole, I do trust them... expecially 3 month old numbers).

The funniest thing about this is, I agree that this is awsome for the 360 either way. Maybe I am just being OCD. But I like numbers and stats, so when I saw this article I looked into it, it confirmed my belief therefor I was eager to post it. I admitting it is not accurate, but I still think that it does lower the total estimate for the 360 by a bit.

 



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

By the way Bigjon can I add something that might blow your mind?

Since we don't have NPD numbers, let's assume the 190k for 360 last week in America was correct. 190k/7 days is 27k a DAY last week ok?

So we got roughly 388k for the 3 day weekend surrounding Black Friday. That leaves 3 days left in the week (excluding Thanksgiving day). If you multiple those 3 days by last weeks daily sales average, that comes out to 81k. So adding 81k + 388k from the weekend gives us 469k. What do you think about that? That's assuming there was zero increase in daily sales on non-Black Friday days. Really think about it before you respond.

Edit Again: Maybe I was thinking?  Does the three days include Thursday or Sunday?  Probably Sunday.

That's true, I'll take a day of sales out.

 

Wait, does their three days include Thursday or Sunday?  Either way, that masses up the numbers as the week is Sunday to Saturday or there's a day missing...

IF those numbers are true, that means PS3 sales were about 115k. That's quite a steep drop off from last year, isn't it?
