Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls IV ~ PS3

I don't think that's true. The 360 got a patch before the PS3 version hit the shelves incorporating all the improvements.

Btw, is there any comparison pics of both platforms when they are all patched up?

Come on ppl, don't be so cruel for poor Groucho. It is his god you are talking about after all, just be more gentle. ;)

Poster from amazon

"Actually, he is a total douche, give him time. You should have seen him spend 6+ hours one day bumping every post in the pS3 forum with his name in it. And I am not exagerrating, 6+ hours of sitting in front of his PC bumping threads. Then there is the time he posted MGS 4 spoilers in the title of thread before the game was released. Then there was the time he created 10+ accounts to praise,... himself, and his spoiler posting. Don't forget he is probably the only person to ever be banned three+ times from the Amazon forums. Forums I remind you, that have no moderators."

If these are true (which fry doesn't dispute) then it says a lot about frys character...

lucky i did not pick up a ps3.

Gamespot does a better job at these... they post high resolution pictures that you can scan over and it flips from 360 to PS3 version so you can compare them directly.

These are new games to so arguments on bad development knowledge is wrong

spanky: Hmm. I wonder how much overhead the Digital Foundry frame analyser costs on each system

None. The video out put of the PS3/360 get's plugged into the frame analyzer hardware.

Hmmm, I kind of doubt it, or it could be hard to find. This would have been about a year after the 360 version hit.

It's not like it was a major news announcement, but I'm pretty sure it was mentioned when the xbox patch hit. Though I seem unable to locate proof.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

The PS3 version just had an updated pixel shader engine and that game uses that stuff like crazy

The reasons why you should consider buying PS3 version of multiplatform games:

1) PS3 is quiet and XBox 360 DVD is very loud. You should consider keeping yourself and people around you away from this disturbing noise.
2) BluRay is scratch resistant. You BluRay games collection will live longer then DVDs.
3) PSN is free. Even if you are short on money you can play games online ;)
4) PS3 average lifespan is longer then XBox 360 average lifespan, so maybe you should play multiplatform games on PS3 and keep your 360 for exclusive titles, before it gives you RROD.

Yeah, that sounds about right. It made mid-far distance terrain look better. I'm pretty sure the 360 version got that from a patch about a week before the PS3 version came out.

EuroGamer? You mean the people who gave MGS4 an 8 and Halo 3 a 10? The people who have done 15 PS3 vs. 360 graphic comparison rounds and concluded that the 360 is better every single time? The people who "concluded" that GTA4 looked (noticeably) better on the 360 than the PS3?

No, thanks. Why doesn't IGN do graphics comparisons?
