^Hahaha, idiot gorgers indeed. I wonder what expression will they have when they are charged the final value and paypal fees as well!

Your claiming PS3 sold at a loss because it was below retail price , isn't that what ebay is for ?

We assume that people paid $400 for the PS3's they're selling on eBay so yes selling at $355 is a $45 lose.

Or maybe that people make a business out of selling things like the PS3 on ebay , even if some one bought the PS3 @ $400 dollars it wouldn't be considered a loss as used products depreciate in value anyway .

3rd Christmas in a row must be some kind of freaky record for an item!

I see what you're saying but if a seller pays $400 for any product and decides to sell it after use (no matter how long he/she has owned the product) and gets $355 for the used product, he/she sold it at a loss as they've lost the $45 they originally paid.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Also you don't just "factor in" depreciation when you sell an item. You can't say "well, it's racked up $90 worth of depreciation, so I really made $45!"

I'm sure new PS3s weren't selling for 350. They're most likely lumping in used sales too. I would assume.

For reference, the next new PS3 coming up is a 60GB Model with 10 good games. It's going for $520 with less than an hour to go. Especially nice if you really like basketball LOL

I HAVE A BRAND NEW PS3 THIS IS A 60GB ITS BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE COMES WITH TWO CONTROLLERS BOX AND MANUALS THE GAMES ARE AS FOLLOWS 1.NBA LIVE09 2.NBA LIVE 08 3.CLUB 4.METAL GEAR SOLID 4 5.MADDEN 09 6.MADDEN 08 7.NBA HOMECOURT 8.VIRTUA FIGHTER 9.ASSASSINS CREED 10.THE SIMPSONS

The next used P3 is an 80GB model and it's going for $330
Seller claims almost never used.

Look at ebay right now.  We don't need to debate things that we can simply look up and gather the facts to immediately.  Buy it nows are $400 + $15 shipping and they come with a free game (A crappy one -- Motorstorm).

It looks like bids sometimes end a little cheaper.  Although not extremely cheap.

Of course the PS3 is selling at a loss. Ebay is second hand sales. Unless there is a supply shortage then the product is going to go for less because otherwise most consumers will just buy it new from a store. I don't see how it is at all relevant to anything to know that the PS3 is being sold at a loss.

It's relevant in the same way that the Wii is still selling at inflated rates on eBay. Don't take it personally dude. At the end of the day, they're both just boxes that play games.
