The good thing about this thread is if you don't belive SSJ, the turnaround is pretty quick. NPD is in 10 days right? We'll see in 10 days if PS3 sales were really this good or not.

I don't think they're good, but ssj could be right and prove us all wrong.

Hey to be fair... i don't remember seeing any PS3's at the target by me.  Only place i was at gaming related today.

I just don't buy the "Pricecut" thing.

Unless the assistant manager was just an idiot.  They're not allowed to make those kind of decisions....

and besides.  Even at the prices Wal-Mart gets them at... 199 should still actually lose them money.

Much like elections, local buying activity can have zero correlation with the overall national picture. That's just something to consider.

I just really can't believe PS3 was doing that well, and Wii that bad.

Seems fairly odd, but stranger things have happened. But America's numbers should be here Wednesday-ish, and NPD in 12 days (not ten, lol). We shall see.

we are talking about my 1 store, I dont have data from the other 2 stores around me. While my store's data can be taken as a grain of salt for the entire US market it can mirror WalMarts and other retailers that are located in similar areas as mine.

Selling decently, nothing compared to the new systems though.

Oh trust me, I hate him. He is the reason I switched from the Dairy to being a Cashier. I got away from him because he is an idiot. If my co-manager was actually watching wtf was going on instead of talking with customers the price cut might not have happened but I think the price reduction ended with the other deals at 11am.. not sure I shopped at 9am.

How did little big planet do?

no idea but from what i could tell... poorly... most PS3 titles did poorly but sports... including that paintball one.. nearly sold out. MotorStorm: PR did well... sold out. I guess thats technically a "sports" title though (motorsports).

Those are called casuals, man buying a paintball game, i can predict taht a lot of madden 09 was solds on black friday.

So the PS3 is a casual console than? lol

Is suposd to be a hard core machine but a casual machine too, do blue ray and media center cpabilities and a few casual games, can not attract casual gamer and people tht like to play video games but not know shit about good games only buy games because of box art or maybe because like the movie the show or the sport, of course a hard core fan will not buy a paint ball game or a need for speed knowing that are more better games like Mignight Club for example.

not true, I never bought a paintball game but there is a killer paintball game available for free for PC that is fun as heck. They can be amusing if done correctly. Like an FPS without blood.
