Yes, but look at it like this.
There is N. America, Japan, and every Other place in the entire civilized world. Every Other place in the civilized world edged out America by a few thousand units....big woop.

Yeah, but even if we take others others sales away Europe numbers are much bigger.
The 360 ALMOST had that 200kWW lead over the PS3 this week. Looks like TLR's effect wasn't huge enough to outsell the PS3 in Japan. So close! Microsoft seems to be happy with the current sales of the 3 year old console in Japan and obviously the world.
The Wii at least needs any game or games bundled with the system (Not like Wii Sports or anything like that, maybe something like Galaxy) in Japan for the same price it is selling currently because even though its selling consistently outselling other consoles in the region, compared to NA and Others, makes the Wii in Japan look horrible. Still selling like a beast as always.
The PS3.......what can I say? Sony literally dodged a werewolf-killing bullet thanks to Japan and that only because TLR was strong enough?

expected the 360 to outsell the PS3 this week, well it was close. But sales aren't that big in Japan overall. DS and PSP are dominating the market. even just sells 1/10 of the US numbers or 1/12 of the other numbers. This indicates that consoles are really having a hard time overthere.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
