People using AVG should know it is one of the worst Anti-Virus programs out there. It used to be really good but that was long ago. I use BitDefender

And then they come on here and whine about how PCs are worse because they get viruses. You don't even need an anti virus program if you are smart, but if you do need one the free ones are not the ones to go to.

P.S. McAffe has to be the biggest pile of crap I have ever seen. At one point it was blockingmy internet, it took me 2 hours to compeltely disable its long tentacles, having to go through some touchy feely config files to do so. No one use it, is what I'm suggesting.

NOD32 is the greatest. It's so low foot print and you can configure to such a depth that I dont receive any notifications from it. If it finds a virus it will just delete it and leave me the hell alone.

the only time I ever had a virus was when I lent my computer to my sisters....was an old comp so I guess it's ok.

But otherwise, not much.

I've been using firewalls mostly and occasionaly I scan my computer to see if I have viruses... never found one. (comodo, panda and other free virus scans).
