 That's probably true. In fact I dont think PS3 is dead. But for the moment it have a hard time and it reduces its chances to be #2 this gen.

There are currently a lot of threads that we can look back at and laugh like those ''X360 is dead'' and ''Wii is a fad''. So funny.

The point is though that this is smart business.... you dont even hint at future price drops unless you are a bit stupid.

 

 

Nintendo and Sony have said pretty much the same thing at one time or another. It's kind of meaningless. It certainly doesn't justify saying that MS doesn't plan to cut the price for 5 years, that's just plain made up nonsense.

Haha.... I'm not upset, this thread is hilarious. Insults flying back and forth about 360 vs. PS3 sales/revenue and whether Sony can cope etc.... and then DTG comes in and manages to insult the Wii and the DS in two of the most ridiculous statements ever.

"Oh but Wii is amazing in US... happens to be where the DS fails" ----- yeah being the third fastest selling piece of gaming hardware there must be terrible for the DS.... and this Christmas it will become the second fastest overtaking the PS2.

I was happily reading the tennis game that was this thread but didn't have anything worth replying to without getting into the argument until DTG decided to throw in a new (egg shaped) ball in the middle of a rally.

Didn't you get the memo? The "year of the PS3" has been postponed to 2009 due to Killzone 2, GT5 and a price cut rumor from an anonymous source.

I don't think it's the amount of time thats so surprising, I think its the amount in such a short period of time, and the fact the PS3 was already millions behind coming into its third year. Us people are just looking at things realistically

 

Except it was mere months ago people were saying the PS3 had 2nd in the bag, even 360 fans were admiting it.

It's all bullshit in the end, someone will win eventually, everything we say on weekly sales threads pretty much turns out to be irrelevent, pointless yammering anyways.
