Forums - General Discussion - What do you listen when gaming?

For some games I put the terrible sound out ( tekken ), and then I turn up my speakers for Daft Punk or radio 538 ( great music ). While by games like mario kart dd, CoD i keep the original music. just because sound in those games can grant u info, like a blue shield is coming up or someone is (sniping?). and you guys what do you do?

I fly this flag in victory!

Typically ingame soundtracks. If not, my custom mix on my 360 complete with War of Ages, Skillet, This Fires Embrace and Fireflight. Not that you've heard of any of these bands but...

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

On console, I stick with the ingame soundtrack, and when I can choose from the ingame music (EA Games) I usualy choose rock music. On PC (especialy with racing/RTS games), it's GN'R, Metallica, AC/DC, Megadeth, Aerosmith... and all the great guitar players. By the way, it's F-Zero X who made me an electric-guitar fan

En général j'écoute de la musique, celle du jeu la plupart du temps.
D'autre fois je peux écouter des sons, ceux du milieu environnant.

hmm, is that Skillet the american band Skillet? If so I've helped put on a show for them (used to work in the audio/lighting/video business) They were pretty good, although it was way to loud for me... I love music, but I prefer to keep my hearing.

anyways back on topic, I almost always listen to ingame music. I think it sounds stupid listening to some other style of music instead of what was put on the disc. (maybe there are a few exceptions like fighters where it doesn't really matter)

I do my best.

Anyway... I listen to game music when I play games.

I listen to metal when playing any competitive game online, otherwise I just listen to the game itself, usually you have to or you miss something.
