Probably to encourage PS2 owners to upgrade to the PS360 version.
@BBK2: Also Wii version has been delayed way further ahead. I think it's even further along the way than the PS2 version. Looks like Konami may be doing this to avoid people buying the Wii version. Their most important market are the HD's, so they shouldn't be mixing both markets. That's why the Wii version sells so terribly, because it comes out 8 months later, and people are already considering waiting for the next version, which is only 4 months after the Wii version gets released. Wii can never win, everyone is against it.

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.
@ trestres
Ok, now. I'm going to have to ask you to shut up. Everyone isn't against the Wii.
@outlaw: Everyone, wasn't "everyone" literally... You get the idea anyways.

It's only delayed in Japan though, right?
I'm assuming Sony had something to do with it. They lose the least amount of money on the ps3 in Japan (hell, they might not lose any on it at this point), and I'm sure they want to keep this string of new releases going, so sales never have a chance to die down. Cutting off the ps2 version of PES should help a good bit. And after PES comes White Knight.
Gpara is 100% reliable. I guess previous source (Inside Games) mixed the numbers up.
Well according to Famitsu, Wii Music sold 9.8k last week and 9k this week.
Bet - "PES 2009 (PS3) will sell (closer to) 150k first week in Japan" - Pooperscopper
"It will sell closer to 125k" - Me I agree. ME = OWNED :(
End of '09 Predictions:
Wii: 78 million
X360: 35 million
PS3: 27 million
